This is an assembly machine for an automotive intake filter. The machine has a 4-position index table. In the first station an operator loads the housing, the inner elements, the filter and the cover. Each assembly step is verified by sensors and cameras. If everything is OK the filter is taken to the second position where the filter box is screwed together automatically. In the next position a laser mark is made on the part and in the last station the complete assembly is unloaded from the machine by an operator.

This machine assembles clips on an automotive part. The clips are bulk fed on a vibratory bowl feeder where they are oriented and fed to the loading mechanism. The robot picks each clip from the loading mechanism and installs it on the part. Cameras are used to verify that all the clips have been correctly installed.

The use of electric motors for automotive appliances is increasing. From windows and power seats to moving the whole vehicle. We developed this machine to inspect and test two electric motor armature parts every 2.5 seconds with a camera and an LVDT sensor. Good parts are sent (through a conveyor) to a packing station while bad parts are discarded.

We built this assembly cell for the automotive industry. The machine has an index table with two interchangeable fixtures. One side of the operator loads the components and on the opposite side has two robots that automatically assemble the cable ties. Once the robots finalize, two visual cameras inspect the parts to verify that all the cable ties are in the right positions.

With the implementation of vision systems, this machine inspects rotors and stators for the automotive industry and evaluates the results against predetermined criteria to ensure parts are fabricated within acceptable standards and tolerances, good parts are laser marked for traceability purposes (3 ABB robots were employed for this machine).

Advanced Manufacturing Development shipped this curing oven for an automotive headlamp. The oven has 22 trays for 7 parts each. Maximum temperature is 120°c

A client sent us an outdated manual marking machine and an existing robot that was no longer required. This marking cell is equipped with an automatic tube feeder to receive bulk tubes on a hopper elevator. The new machine isolated one tube at a time and discarded tubes that came out of length. The robotic machinery loaded each tube into the marking machine, and once it was marked, unloaded the tube into a discharge chute.

With our knowledge, we engineer, design, and build these four machines for the automotive industry, these machines spray a special paint mixture on the inside of tires, while the paint gun stays fixed the tire rotates. They surpass the performance of any machine found in a standard product catalog
